8 years in the making! From Underclass Area Code Games to an AAA debut!
Juaron has never wavered in his determination or work ethic to get to where he’s at. Through the ups and downs, and the things outside of his control, he’s stayed persistent and continued to work through everything.
I’m glad to have been a part of his process from his sophomore summer to now and beyond!
There is no quick fix to anything — it’s about constantly growing. Not a single athlete is the same, throws the same, or moves the same as anyone else. There are absolutes that need to happen, but it takes time, countless hours, and continued dedication.
Everyone wants to race and search for velocity, but at what expense? Your son’s arm? His career? There is a safe and sustainable way to get there — it involves some patience.
Velo is a separator, and everyone’s goal — and it should be a goal. But pitch. Command the ball. Stay healthy. Continue to work your ass off. The results will come.
Juaron is one of my first-ever clients, along with Gabe Magallan and Jack Anker, and has since been followed by many others. All of them remained healthy, continued to grow, got stronger, and worked their asses off to get where they’re at.
Juaron: 81–83 → 93–96, 98T (AAA) 3rd round to Bluejays 2023
Gabe Magallan: 76–78 → 88–91, 92T (Biola University — now coaching there and running his own developmental program)
Jack Anker: 82–84 → 92–95 (High-A) 6th round to Pirates 2025
I’ll be the first to say I’m not the only coach these guys have had. I’m not a strength guy, and I’m not the sole reason for any of their success. They have worked tremendously hard throughout their careers, and the coaches they’ve had have done the same.
I’m fortunate to be a part of their lives, careers, and success.
In saying all of that, none of this is possible without the group that helped pave the way.
My brother, who has worked with these kids to get their bodies right. Current and former clients who have continued to support and trust me, allowing me to continue to give back to all these kids. Former coaches, mentors, and now friends in this space who have helped me grow as a person and as a coach.
And my family, friends, and now my wife, who have always supported this dream through the ups and downs.
Thank you all.
