The Adult Beginning Ballet class recently took the stage at Dance Leelanau’s Sway into Spring recital — performing “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” to a packed room.

The work in class is about alignment, technique, and proper engagement. The performance is about everything else: the joy, the courage, the kids in the audience watching their parents do something they love.

The Leland Wine & Food Festival is Saturday, June 13 from 12-6 PM 🍷

It’s hosted by the Leland Chamber of Commerce, and we wanted to use this brief intermission from our usual content to give them their well deserved flowers. Until you’re a small business owner in a town like this, it’s easy to miss how much the Chamber does — for local businesses, for visitors, for the whole community. They’re a huge part of what makes Leland feel like Leland, and we’re so grateful to be members.

Still thinking about last Sunday at The Homestead.

One of the best things about Leelanau County is the way it brings people together — people who love wellness, the outdoors, and well-being.

The Leelanau Wellness Collective has been making space for those people to find each other since 2020.

What started in Leelanau now spans four counties — Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie, and Antrim — through classes, 1-on-1 care, workshops, retreats, and community gatherings.

These are just a few of the people who showed up on Sunday — more vendors, students, and community members filled the day.

This was their first annual Well-Being Summit. Hopefully the first of many.

Hallelujah! Mat Pilates with is back on the schedule beginning in May.

Kat’s class takes a unique approach, pairing pilates with foam rolling, so the recovery — the part *some* of us tend to skip when we get home 😜 — happens in the same hour as the workout.
