Mark your calendars! Revolution Smith is taking over The Pub in Purcellville on Wednesday, September 16th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM for a special fundraiser night! 🥎✨

The legendary Coach Richard will be our special guest bartender for the evening, serving up drinks and keeping the energy high. 🍻

Come out for dinner, drinks, a 50/50 raffle and a great time with the team. A portion of the evening's proceeds directly benefits our softball crew!

🥎 And just like that… Revolution Smith is underway! 💙

The wait is over! Our athletes took the field for their first practice, officially kicking off the start of a new season and a new chapter for Revolution Smith.

We’re excited to see this group of players come together, work hard, continue to grow, and build something special as a team. This roster brings together familiar faces along with several talented new players joining us from other teams. We’re excited to watch them build new friendships, develop their chemistry, and grow together throughout the season.

The season is just getting started, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead!

🥎 The journey starts now! 🥎

While our first practices are still a little ways off, we're already excited about what this inaugural Revolution 14U Smith season will bring.

Many of our players have grown together with our 12U team, and now they're ready to take the next step as they move into 14U. Over the coming weeks, we'll introduce our players, share what makes this team special, and count down to the start of the season in August.

Be sure to follow along and cheer on these hardworking athletes as they begin a new chapter!

Revolution Smith – Head Coach Bio
Head Coach – Richard Smith

With 37 years around the game of baseball and softball, Richard Smith brings a deep passion for the sport and a commitment to developing athletes both on and off the field. His experience includes 12 years as a player, including time at the collegiate level, along with 14 successful seasons coaching youth and travel teams.
Over the years, Coach Smith has led teams at the 10U, 12U, and 13-18U rec levels, coached Freedom All-Star teams, and a Revolution travel team. His extensive background gives players the opportunity to compete at a high level while continuing to grow in skill, confidence, and character.

Coaching Philosophy:

Coach Smith believes strong athletes are built through hard work, discipline, intentional practice, and a true love for the game. His coaching style emphasizes fundamentals, mental toughness, accountability, and teamwork while creating a competitive environment where players are encouraged to challenge themselves and reach their full potential.

He is committed to helping athletes learn from mistakes, grow with confidence, and develop the resilience needed to succeed both on and off the field.
