Recap from the weekend at PG Nashville Summer Classic:
Game 1:
Mayhem Baseball 13U Cling To Victory As MAD Mavericks - Stroud 13U Nearly Erase 4-Run Deficit
Mayhem Baseball 13U built a 4-run lead in the second inning and then held off MAD Mavericks - Stroud 13U's charge for a 6-5 victory on Friday. MAD Mavericks - Stroud 13U closed the gap by scoring on a home run, a ground out, a single, and a walk.
Mayhem Baseball 13U got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Ethan S homered to left field, scoring two runs, Jaycob R hit a solo home run to left field, and James T drew a walk, scoring one run.
MAD Mavericks - Stroud 13U scored two runs in the top of the third on a home run to left field by Patrick M.
MAD Mavericks - Stroud 13U tied the game in the top of the fourth thanks to a ground out by Maddox G, and a single by Lawson D.
Mayhem Baseball 13U took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning after Ethan doubled down the left field line, and Drayton C flew out, each scoring one run.
Ethan stepped on the hill first for Mayhem Baseball 13U. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking none. Houston L started on the mound for MAD Mavericks - Stroud 13U. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and four runs over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking two. Jaycob, Mason C, and Brady C each appeared in relief for Mayhem Baseball 13U.
Ethan drove the middle of the lineup, leading Mayhem Baseball 13U with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Cooper J paced Mayhem Baseball 13U with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Brady stole two bases. Mayhem Baseball 13U turned one double play in the game. Mayhem Baseball 13U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Mason W had the most chances in the field with five.

Maddox and Patrick each drove in two runs for MAD Mavericks - Stroud 13U. MAD Mavericks - Stroud 13U turned one double play in the game. Game 2:
Mayhem Baseball 13U Defeat EBC 13U White On Multiple Hit Performance By Ethan S
Ethan S collected three hits in three at bats, as Mayhem Baseball 13U defeated EBC 13U White 9-7 on Saturday. Ethan hit a home run to center field in the first inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.
Mayhem Baseball 13U jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Brady C grounded out, scoring one run, and Ethan homered to center field, scoring two runs.
EBC 13U White flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring five runs on two hits to take the lead, 6-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Preston D that drove in three.
In the top of the fourth inning, Mayhem Baseball 13U went back into the lead after Jaycob R singled to left field, and C**ton M flew out, each scoring two runs.
James T pitched three innings in relief for Mayhem Baseball 13U. The reliever surrendered four hits and six runs (four earned) while, striking out four and walking six. C**ton started the game for Mayhem Baseball 13U. The starter allowed one hit and one run over two innings, striking out one and walking two. Tabor W stepped on the bump first for EBC 13U White. The pitcher surrendered eight hits and seven runs over five innings, striking out none and walking four.
Cooper J collected two hits for Mayhem Baseball 13U in two at bats. Jaycob, Drayton C, and C**t B each stole multiple bases for Mayhem Baseball 13U. Mayhem Baseball 13U stole 12 bases in the game.
Preston went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Isaac W, EBC 13U White's number nine hitter, led the team with two hits in three at-bats. Henry S led EBC 13U White with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. EBC 13U White didn't commit a single error in the field. Ashton W had the most chances in the field with seven.
Bracket Play: Mayhem Baseball 13U Cannot Hold Onto Lead Versus Gold Label Baseball 13U
Mayhem Baseball 13U lost to Gold Label Baseball 13U 9-6 on Sunday even though they once led by four runs.
A single by Brayden S put Gold Label Baseball 13U on the board in the top of the first.
Mayhem Baseball 13U jumped into the lead in the bottom of the first when an error scored one run, and Cooper J drew a walk, scoring one run.
A sacrifice fly by Ethan S extended the Mayhem Baseball 13U lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the second inning.
Mayhem Baseball 13U added one run in the third after Jaycob R doubled to left field.
Xavier V singled to center field, which helped Gold Label Baseball 13U tie the game at six in the top of the fifth.

Big E finished top 10 in hitting for tourney. Fell short in bracket play to shorten the day. A lot of good teams and had the chance to compete in the top bracket. A week off and back at it.
