Hello,
Weβre excited to share that summer internship applications for our wildlife center are now open! This program offers a hands-on, immersive experience for individuals interested in wildlife rehabilitation, animal care, and conservation.
Interns work closely with our team to gain real-world experience in both veterinary assistant and veterinary technician skills. Responsibilities include preparing diets, feeding orphaned and injured wildlife, cleaning and maintaining enclosures, and assisting with basic medical care. Interns will also have opportunities to support our education programs and help connect the community with local wildlife and conservation efforts.
The internship requires a total of 96 hours, typically completed over an 8 week period at approximately 12 hours per week. For added flexibility, interns may choose to complete their hours over 9 weeks to allow for a planned break if needed. At the end of the program, interns will create a trifold presentation on a species or rehabilitation technique of their choice, which will be showcased during our open house in August.
Please note that applicants must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation to our facility in Noblesville, as transportation is not provided.
If youβre interested in applying or would like more information about the program, we would love to hear from you.
