Think you've got what it takes on the pickleball court? Or maybe you just enjoy chasing a wiffle ball around while pretending you're athletic? 😆
Join us July 3rd for our Pickleball Tournament Fundraiser! All proceeds will help purchase our 2026 State Championship Track Rings. 💍🏆

What a blessing this journey has been.

I started coaching cross country in 2013, and that first season we had just two state qualifiers. After a coaching break, I returned in 2021 with a renewed love for the sport and the athletes I get to coach every day.

Since then, we’ve watched Kamryn Baggs win three individual state championships, the girls earned State Academic Championships in 2022 and 2023, and had multiple athletes continue their running careers at the collegiate level.

Every one of them helped build the foundation of what this program has become.

Then in 2025, it all came together as both our girls and boys brought home state championships.

The medals and trophies are special, but the relationships, growth, and memories are what mean the most.

If you'd like to be part of the next chapter of Laverne Cross Country, summer running begins July 15, 2026, at 6:30 AM at the football field.

(All proceeds will go toward the purchase of our championship rings 💍)

• Adult Small–Adult 5X
No Youth Small available — the design is too large.

Please note: Athletes will NOT be receiving a shirt as part of their awards, so if your athlete would like one, an order must still be placed.

Looking back, I realized I never posted our 2-mile relay teams!!!
We would like to say congratulations to our girls 2-mile relay team for placing 4th at state! Team members include Brynli Woods, Zadie Carnagey, Karys Huyen, and Jocelyn Pope.
We would also like to congratulate our boys 2-mile relay team for finishing as state runner-up! Team members include Dalon Clark, Marvin Barrera, Andy Sanchez, and Gentry Long.
We are so proud of the fight, determination, and teamwork these athletes showed all season long. It’s a great day to be a Tiger! 🐯

Take a look at your new Class 2A Girls State Champions! 🏆🐯
We may not have placed first all weekend in any event, but these girls battled and fought in every race and every jump. I told the girls all year long that 3rd-8th place points were what we needed! If we could consistently score points in almost every event, we would have a chance to win it all — and that’s exactly what they did!
This championship is extra special because the last time Laverne Girls Track won a State Championship was back in 1996!
Laverne track has a rich tradition with deep roots in success. This year alone, we broke 7 school records! We want to say thank you to all of the past athletes who set those records and helped build this program into what it is today. Records are made to be broken, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds!

We would like to say congratulations to our girls mile relay team for placing 3rd at State and breaking the school record that was set back in 1993!

The 1993 team, consisting of Love, Null, Van Gundler, and Hix, ran a time of 4:07.10. Our girls pulled out a time of 4:06.83!

This year’s record-breaking team consisted of Zadie Carnagey, Jocelyn Pope, Codie Dixon, and Brynli Woods. We are beyond proud of these girls and the hard work, dedication, and heart they showed all season long. It’s a great day to be a Tiger! 🐯
