Vatos Rugby Established in 1992, Vatos Rugby originated with the vision and determination of E.R. Greene, A professor at NMHU in Las Vegas, NM.

His desire and passion was to bring the global sport of Rugby to his students.

Update: The rebirth of our team will be a continued evolution of who we are. My intention, taking on the responsibility, is to strengthen the foundation of our legacy so the team can continue to grow with our roots nurtured. This means we will not see a team until the fall 2026 or even as late as spring 2027. I am currently cultivating the soil for our future Vatos to be able to flourish. Vatos Por Vid!

With the guidance and support of our founder, Dick Greene, I am taking on the responsibility of bring back our beloved team doing so with honor and a sense of duty to maintain over 30 years of heritage, the name generations of VATOS poured their blood, sweat and tears into creating and developing a culture that reflects our past moving forward in our future.
