In commemoration of Pride in Nevada, the HNBA LGBT Division, the Nevada Latino Bar Association, and the State Bar of Nevada LGBTQ+ Section present “Navigating Law as an LGBTQIA+ Professional,” a special CLE bringing together accomplished LGBTQIA+ legal professionals from across private practice, in-house, and government service.
The program will feature a dynamic panel offering candid, real-world perspectives on building a legal career while navigating professional transitions, leadership, visibility, mentorship, sponsorship, and the unique experiences of LGBTQIA+ professionals in the legal field.
Meet the Panel:
Tim Caballero is Senior Manager and Principal Counsel, Business & Legal Affairs at Netflix, bringing an in-house perspective on navigating a career at the intersection of law, business, and entertainment.
Raquel Lazo (“Rocky”) serves as an Assistant Federal Public Defender, offering a government-service perspective grounded in advocacy, litigation, and public defense.
Kevin Kampschror, Esq. is an Attorney at Sgro & Roger who practices in plaintiff workers’ compensation law and criminal defense. Kevin brings the perspective of private practice and the experience of developing a legal career within a law firm.
The conversation will be moderated by Andrés Ojeda Morales, Attorney at Dotts Law Office, who will guide the panel through a discussion of career advancement, professional visibility, mentorship and sponsorship, authentic leadership, and actionable ways to elevate LGBTQIA+ voices throughout the legal profession.
Attendees will leave with practical strategies, meaningful perspectives, and actionable tools for advancing their careers and fostering greater inclusion, belonging, and professional growth within the legal community.
