Also the playoff system document was mailed to NCAA, National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame, bowl game, and other prominent representatives and figures including Mark Emmert, Mark Cuban, David Bertram, Chris Del Conte, Deloss Dodds, Dr. Bob Kustra, Bobby L Rush, Joe L Barton, Mark Schurtleff, Ron Ramsey, Michael Konradi, Archie Manning, Steven J Hatchell, and Bill Hancock from the Bowl Championship Series- now with the College Football Playoff.

The conversation started when Jonathan West was at Auburn University's WEGL 91.1 FM in the early 2000s. Years later as a broadcaster in May 2009, he reached out to 20 different representatives from the NCAA, Bowl Championship Series, Football Bowl Association, and American Football Coaches Association about his idea!

Tom Hansen from the Pac-12 Conference (then the Pac-10) declined JW's request for a presentation. Alfred White from Conference USA said he would pass along the info. Craig Thompson from the Mountain West Conference and Gary Barta from the University of Iowa, now both with the College Football Playoff, did not respond.
