This is our “Why” at Knights Baseball

Late post. Our 10u boys battled over the weekend going 2-1. They eventually made their way to the PONY Tournament Championship. After a hard fought battle that went into extra innings they fell short 12-11.

Wins and losses doesn’t define this group. They have gone through many ups and downs together and have been resilient all year long. Progress is all that matters here.

*Eli played the championship game sick and wasn’t present during the picture.
*Ezra not pictured was guest player and did a great job all tournament.

This photo was shared with me by another Coach. Andrew is 7 years old and competed against 9-10 year olds in a 10U game.

He had success both at the plate and pitching, but he also struggled. Failure is just opportunities to grow and learn. He was upset and going through emotions, which to us shows passion, the fact that he wants success, and he cares about the game. As Coaches/Parents it is up to us to help them channel those feelings in the right direction.

Here at Knights Baseball we embrace the struggles and failures. We want our kids to fail, because that’s the only way they will learn. Errors are part of the game and we are all for it. It is never about the rings, trophies, wins, or MVPs here. We want them to take risk trying to make plays. We focus on development and preparing the kids for their future. Most of all we want them to fall in love with the game.
