Our season came to an end today, falling 14-2 to the Mount Vernon Orange Sox in the championship game. As the No. 6 ranked team in the state, they showed why they’re one of Ohio’s best. We knew the challenge ahead, and while the final score wasn’t what we wanted, we’re proud of the way our team competed all season long.

This group continued to battle, improve, and represent with pride from the first pitch of the season to the last. Every practice, every game, and every challenge helped us grow, and those experiences will make the boys better moving forward.

Thank you to everyone who supported us throughout the season. Your encouragement meant the world to our players.

When the big swing was needed, the Yard Crew answered the call!

Colton Schumm and Mason Kantor both left the yard today, providing the offense with two huge home runs and bringing the energy from the first pitch to the last out. Their bats continue to make a difference when it matters most.

What a game!

We battled through an incredible semifinal matchup, defeating the Sandusky Bay Scrappers 10-9 to punch our ticket to the championship game!

This one had everything, big hits, momentum swings, and plenty of adversity. It was a true back-and-forth battle from the first pitch to the final out, but our players never stopped competing. When the game was on the line, they stayed together, trusted each other, and found a way to come out on top.

One more game. One more opportunity.

💣 YARD CREW ALERT 💣

The Yard Crew just got a little bigger.

In Pool Play Game 2, the two newest members wasted no time making their mark.

Neal Cathers ignited the offense with a leadoff home run, setting the tone from the very first at-bat. Grayson Kovach followed with a towering grand slam, blowing the game wide open. Then Kolton Mathias, the newest addition to the Yard Crew alongside Neal, added another blast to keep the fireworks going.

Three home runs. And two new names joining the Yard Crew in style.

The fence didn’t stand a chance.

POOL PLAY GAME 2: COMPLETE ✅

The bats stayed hot and the pitching was lights out as we closed out pool play with a 13-0 victory over the Crawford County Warhawks!

The team finished pool play 2-0, outscoring the opposition 27-5, and earned a spot in the Gold Bracket heading into championship Sunday.

This group continues to play the game the right way, great pitching, solid defense, aggressive base running, and timely hitting. The job isn’t finished, but we’ve put ourselves in a great position.

Now it’s time to refocus and get ready for bracket play.

We opened pool play with an impressive 14-5 victory over the Lefty Grove Legends!

The bats were on fire as the offense launched 3 home runs on the day, powering the team to 12 hits and an explosive start to the tournament. The boys played with energy, confidence, and backed it up with solid defense to earn a complete team win.

We battled to the very end and came away with a hard-fought 10-9 win over Broadview Heights 11U!

A back-and-forth battle where every inning mattered. The boys stayed locked in, competed through every moment, and found a way when it counted.

FINAL!

Tough loss today against a talented Longhorns team.

We battled, but at this level you can’t give away outs and expect to come out on top. Mistakes add up, and errors will doom you when you’re facing good competition.

A few innings got away from us, and we didn’t execute the way we needed to. That’s baseball. The lesson is simple, clean it up, tighten the details, and come back ready to compete.

See everyone tomorrow as we finish up pool play with our final 2 games. Time to reset and get back after it.

🔥⚾️ THE STAGE IS SET. THE BATTLE BEGINS. ⚾️🔥

We are headed to the Five Tool Ohio State Championships at Berliner Park.

The challenge is waiting… 30 of the best teams from across the state, all chasing the same goal. Every pitch matters. Every inning counts.

Pool play starts tomorrow and continues into Friday. It’s time to compete, trust the work, and show what we’re made of.
