The scale is not lying to you. But it is only telling you part of the story, and for a lot of people, it's the wrong part.
When you start strength training, you build muscle. Muscle is denser than fat. Your weight might stay the same or go up slightly while your body is changing significantly. Clothes fit differently. Measurements go down. You feel stronger. But if the scale is the only thing you're watching, none of that registers.
At EnVision we track progress through measurements, movement milestones, and the things you can do now that you couldn't before. Those are the numbers that tell the real story.
If you've ever quit a fitness program because the scale didn't move fast enough, we'd love to show you a different way to look at it.

You schedule the dentist six months out. You put the kids' activities on a shared calendar. You block time for the meeting nobody actually needed.

But working out? That gets squeezed in whenever there's time. Which means summer, when schedules get weird and routines fall apart, it just doesn't happen.

Here's the fix: treat it like the appointment that matters. Pick your days in June right now. Put them on the calendar. Show up.

And while you're planning, our gym is air-conditioned. Working out outside in Lancaster in June is a choice. A sweaty, humid, questionable choice. We'll be in here, perfectly comfortable, getting stronger.

Two weeks. That's all it took for Danna to notice a difference.

"It has only been two weeks since I started small group training, and I've already noticed such a big difference in my workouts both in and outside of class. Coach T and Coach Melissa are incredibly helpful with form and breathing cues to make sure you're getting the most out of every rep. The confidence they have in you and the way they push you to your potential is louder than the voice in your head telling you that you can't do it or can't go heavier."

Our summer small group training session is open now. It runs through July 16th, includes make-up sessions, and is available at a prorated rate if you have vacation planned. $275 for both days per week or $137.50 for one day.

Happy Memorial Day weekend, everyone.

Long weekends are for recharging, not starting over. So whether you're grilling out, traveling, or just soaking in the extra day off, enjoy every bit of it. You've earned it.

But if you want to keep some momentum going, here's a quick no-equipment circuit you can do literally anywhere in under 15 minutes:

10 squats 10 push-ups (modify however you need to, seriously, no judgment) 20 walking lunges 30-second plank Rest 60 seconds, repeat 3 rounds

Nothing fancy. Just enough to keep your body moving and remind yourself how good it feels.

We're closed Monday for Memorial Day and back at it Tuesday. If you've been thinking about checking us out, the week after a long weekend is actually a perfect time to start.

"I've never been so welcomed with my quirkiness as I have at Envision. There are so many different personalities and they just mesh into a dance party...who doesn't like to dance??" That's Denise P. She's been a member for 9 years.

Nine years. Think about that. People don't stick with something for nearly a decade because of the equipment or the building. They stay because of how a place makes them feel.
