Today, we honor the life, legacy, and light of our beloved Donyelle.
A true Cancer Warrior who fought with grace, strength, and unwavering spirit until the very end. Our hearts are heavy, yet full of gratitude for the gift of her presence in our lives.
Donyelle is — and will forever be — a STAPLE of Extensions Performing Arts Academy. She is our 1st Inductee into the Extensions Hall of Fame, not only because of what she accomplished in the industry, but because of what she poured into this studio long before the world knew her name.
Her groundwork built us.
Her foundation shaped us.
Her influence changed us.
From her early days training within these walls to her rise as an artist who inspired dancers around the world, Donyelle carried Extensions with her everywhere she went. She left fingerprints on every generation that walked through our doors. She pushed boundaries. She created pathways. She challenged dancers to be better — not just movers, but humans.
So many lives in the industry have been touched, uplifted, or transformed because of her. She mentored, she taught, she loved deeply, and she showed what it looked like to fight for your purpose. She showed what it looked like to lead with heart.
At our 30th Anniversary Banquet, we were blessed to witness her pour wisdom, gratitude, and truth into our former owner, our current owners, and her best friend Desiree — a moment that now feels even more sacred. That video stands as a reminder that her voice, her love, and her legacy will continue to guide us forward.
Today we grieve.
But today we also celebrate a life that moved mountains.
Rest in power, Donyelle.
Your story lives in every dancer who ever felt seen by you, every child who found confidence through you, and every artist who realized their potential because you spoke life into them.
Thank you for everything you’ve given.
Extensions will carry your name, your lessons, and your love — forever.
