Set Sail on the Chesapeake This May!

There’s nothing quite like the feeling of being out on the Chesapeake in the spring—the steady breeze, the rhythm of the water, and miles of open horizon ahead.

This May, YPYC is heading out for our club cruise, and you’re invited to join the adventure! Whether you’re looking for a quick getaway or a longer journey exploring new ports, there’s an option for you.

Short Cruise: Sail to Cape Charles, enjoy time ashore, great food, and relaxing waterfront views.

Extended Cruise: Keep going! Explore destinations up the Bay—from quiet anchorages to charming towns—making memories along the way.

From sunrise sails to dockside dinners, this is what Chesapeake boating is all about:
good friends, beautiful water, and the freedom to go where the wind takes you.

No matter which leg you choose, you’ll be part of a fun, easygoing group enjoying the very best of the season.

Our members have been making the most of this beautiful season with some truly memorable outings!

We kicked things off with a delightful Lunch & Art Gallery Tour, enjoying great company over lunch before exploring the incredible local art scene. From vibrant galleries in Irvington to a personal tour with artist Alvaro Ibanez, the day was a wonderful reminder of just how much talent our Northern Neck community has to offer.

Then, during Historic Garden Week, members toured stunning homes and gardens filled with breathtaking floral arrangements and thoughtful designs. With perfect weather and plenty of inspiration around every corner, it was a day to remember—and a true celebration of spring in full bloom.

These outings are what YPYC is all about—friendship, discovery, and enjoying the best of our community together.

✨ Stay tuned—there’s always more to come!

Kentucky Derby night at the club was nothing short of fabulous. Guests arrived dressed to impress, fully embracing the spirit of the occasion, and the energy in the room matched the excitement of the event itself. From the stylish outfits to the lively atmosphere, it was a celebration to remember—and the race delivered all the thrills we could have hoped for.

With heavy hearts, we share the unexpected passing of our friend and neighbor, Rob, who lovingly cared for Trinity Episcopal Church’s Pink Pantry.

Rob was more than a manager—he was a quiet force of kindness in our community. Through every can stocked, every box shared, and every small act of generosity, he helped make sure that anyone in need could find support, dignity, and hope—24 hours a day.

The Pink Pantry was close to Rob’s heart. It reflected who he was: generous, welcoming, and always ready to help.

In his memory, we invite you to honor Rob by continuing the work he cared so deeply about:
💗 Donate non-perishable food items
💗 Restock the pantry when you can
💗 Share kindness with a neighbor in need

The Pink Pantry remains open—“Take what you need, leave what you can”—just as Rob believed it should be.

Your generosity will help carry forward his legacy of compassion here in Lancaster County.

Please keep Rob’s family, his husband Gary, and all who loved him in your prayers.
