Yesterday we had the privilege of talking to the children at the Lamesa Boys and Girls Club about the run club! They all had an interest in running, so parents please bring them out to some of our runs! We answered a lot of their questions about running, talked about creating healthy habits, and ended things with a relay race. Thank you Ali for inviting us! 🏃‍♀️

September is going to be a busy month!

In addition to our regularly scheduled runs, we have a couple of runs that members will be participating in plus multiple events the club will be participating in! Please contact me if you would like to participate and represent the run club at any of these events!

I’ll keep yall updated throughout the month, but so far this is what we’ve got:

🏃‍♀️Wed. Sept. 2nd: Regularly scheduled run 7:30 pm
🌪️Fri. Sept. 4th: GT TAILGATE PARTY. We will be set up at the Tailgate Party to support our Golden Tornado football boys!
🏃‍♀️Sat. Sept. 5th: Regularly scheduled run 7:00 am

🌪️Wed. Sept. 9th: LAMESA HOMECOMING PARADE 7:30 pm. Members, please bring a bag of candy and ride in the parade representing our club!
🌪️Fri. Sept. 11th: GT TAILGATE PARTY. We will be set up at the Tailgate Party to support our Golden Tornado football boys!
💃Sat. Sept. 12th: Two events this day!
ZUMBA ON THE STREET at the Dawson County Public Library 10:00 am with a biscuit bar mixer after!
RUNNING IN THE DARK 1K/5K supporting the Recording Library of West Texas. We have multiple members participating in this run. Run starts at 7 pm at Midland College. Sign up online. Please contact me if you would like to travel together.

🪇Wed. Sept. 16th (Mexican Independence Day): FIESTA RUN in collaboration with the Lamesa Ladies Golf Association and Social. We are excited to announce our first collab with another organization! Join us for a walk/run around the Lamesa Municipal Golf Course and a social hour after! Chips, salsa, and drinks provided.
🏃‍♀️Sat. Sept. 19th: Regularly scheduled run 7:00 am

🏃‍♀️Wed. Sept. 23rd: Regularly scheduled run 7:30 pm
🏃‍♀️Sat. Sept. 26th: TORCH RUN 5K supporting Special Olympics Texas and LETR. 8:00 am - 12:00 pm at Midland College. Dust & Distance will be set up at this run! Please contact me if you would like to come and help represent the club. If you would like to run in the event, please sign up online.

We also have an event this week! Dust & Distance Run Club will be setting up at the Tailgate Party this Friday in support of our Lamesa Golden Tornado football boys 🎉 Bring the family out to enjoy free food, free giveaways, and fun activities! Don’t forget your school spirit! 🌪️
