The Lakeway Swim Center will be OPEN on Saturday, September 5th, for the last day of summer swimming! Both the leisure and lap pool will be open from 10 AM - 2 PM.😎⭐️🎉☀️

The Lakeway Swim Center will be CLOSED on the following Sunday and Monday for the Labor Day holiday.🇺🇸

Last week, we celebrated Lifeguard Appreciation Day with our amazing lifeguard team, and this week, we're shining the spotlight on our incredible swim instructors! 🏊🌟

Our swim instructors play an important role in helping swimmers build confidence in the water while teaching essential swim skills and water safety in a fun, encouraging environment. Their patience, enthusiasm, and dedication make a lasting impact on every swimmer they teach.

Today is Lifeguard Appreciation Day, and we want to recognize the outstanding team that helps make every visit to the pool a safe one.

🎉Happy Lifeguard Appreciation Day! At the last City Council meeting, Mayor Tom Kilgore officially proclaimed July 31, 2026, as Lifeguard Appreciation Day in the City of Lakeway. 🏊‍♂️

Our lifeguards do so much more than watch the water. They help prevent emergencies, respond when seconds matter, keep our Swim Center safe, and create a fun environment for everyone who visits.

The Lakeway Swim Center recently went through a StarGuard safety and performance audit, and we got some fantastic results! 🎉Some of our lifeguards received the top score of 5 stars on the StarGuard audit for a spinal backboarding extrication scenario, lifeguard observation, and slide dispatch. This is a major accomplishment for the facility, and a huge testament to how hardworking, attentive, and professional our lifeguards are!🛟🙌🤩
The physical facility and documentation also received 5/5 stars, for a grand total of 5 5-star ratings in the overall audit!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

On our way to compete in the Central Texas Aquatic Association’s Lifeguard Competition in Temple!🤩🙌🛟

Our two Lakeway teams will compete against 14 other lifeguard teams from around the Central Texas region in three lifeguard-related scenarios ranging from first aid, basic life support, to spinal management.⛑️

An exciting day awaits the Lakeway Lifeguards! 🥳😁

Two years ago, Lakeway took home FIRST place in first aid at the Central Texas Aquatic Association’s Lifeguard Competition!!🥇🏆 Our guards competed in three different basic life support and drowning response scenarios against other lifeguard teams from around the central Texas area.

Today, two lifeguard teams from Lakeway are on their way to compete for the 3rd year in a row in Temple. Wish us luck!!😁🙌
