2019 Rookie of the Year I love racing! “dirt is my glitter”. My sister is Kelly is going into the 3rd grade. Racing is what we do! I was in the Mini Dwarf Masters Division at Barona Speedway 2015-2016, and am currently earning and learning to dri
ve a Dwarf car. In 2015 I drove myself into 4th in points for the season at Barona Speedway. I participated in several WGAS events in areas of Santa Maria, Del Mar, and Perris. I became a member of RAD (Racers against Drugs) and even spoke at some of the events at schools for them to say no to drugs and bullying. And El Cajon Car shows on Wednesday night are a blast! It made for a great first, yet busy year. For the 2016 season I was 3rd in points overall for the season. I spent more time working on my car this season and learning of the mechanics of it. I wasn’t just an oil and tire change girl; I helped change out the motor. I participated in WGAS events in areas of Indio, Turlock (with a win), and Del Mar this year. I continue to be a part of RAD, just been a little harder now that I’m in High School. And I still love the Wednesday night car shows in El Cajon. The Mini Dwarf car has now been passed on to my younger sister Kelly who has been racing the Sportsman class at Barona for the 2017 season. She finished 5th for the season. Kelly also won an award at the El Cajon Car Show and 2 Second Places Finishes at Cocopah Speedway. As for me I was working on my skills in a Triple EEE Dwarf car on the bigger track at Barona this season and into next, mainly practices. In 2018 I took my dwarf car and raced at El Centro, twice at Barona, and a 2 day event at Canyon for Thanksgiving. I had continued with practice all throughout the year. Kelly ran her mini dwarf at Barona Speedway to end up 3rd in points for the season. Her trophy was bigger than her. So far in the 2019 Season at Barona I am planning on running a full race schedule (10 races). I am currently 10th in points and leading Rookie of the year. Kelly this busy bee of a sister has been to Cocopah Speedway, WGAS Events, and of course our home track Barona and is currently 3rd in points. We are both excited for our continued future in racing and really couldn’t have done any of it without our family support and help and most importantly our Sponsors.
