🥎 Day 4 is complete! ☀️💦

Thursday is usually our “Water Day,” where we break out the slip n’ slide and practice softball slides. Well, Mother Nature had other plans and decided to provide her own version of water time! 🌧️😂

When the rain rolled in, we made a quick adjustment and kept the fun going with everyone’s favorite game: Beat the Ball!

Before the rain arrived, the athletes spent the morning working on endurance, coordination, and agility, with a bit of hitting and fielding mixed in throughout the day. No matter what the weather throws at us, these girls continue to work hard, learn, and have fun.

🥎 A little late posting, but Day 3 is officially in the books! ☀️😅

Just like a delayed steal, we’re a little behind—but still safe! 🏃‍♀️💨

Day 2’s focus was on speed, explosiveness, and hitting. The athletes worked through drills designed to improve quickness, reaction time, and powerful movement, then put that athleticism to work in the cages focusing on making strong, consistent contact.

These girls are working hard, having fun, and getting better every day. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish next! 💪🐾

🥎 Summer Camp Day 2 is in the books! ☀️

Sometimes softball training looks a little different!

Today we worked on communication and hand-eye coordination, building skills that help athletes track the ball, react quickly, and make better plays on the field. These fun drills may not always look like traditional softball practice, but they’re helping develop the foundation for success.

Coach Deomni kicked off another fantastic week of Summer Camp, focusing on the fundamentals that build strong softball players. Today’s focus was on throwing and hitting, helping our athletes develop proper mechanics, confidence, and consistency.

A great start to the week, and we’re excited to see what the rest of camp has in store! 💪🐾

One of the many perks of practicing at Dawg House Softball Facility: when Florida weather decides to do its thing, practice doesn’t have to be canceled. While everyone else is watching the radar, our athletes are still getting their work in indoors.

You might still get a little wet making the dash from your car to the facility, but at least you won’t be leaving practice completely soaked! 🥎🐾

Don’t wait until the forecast turns ugly to start looking for indoor space. Team practice slots fill quickly, especially during rainy season. Book your recurring practice time now and keep your athletes on the field—rain or shine.

Coach Raquel is back! 🥎🇮🇹🔥

After competing in Italy, Coach Raquel is returning to Dawg House and will be back on the lesson schedule starting June 17th!

Raquel specializes in pitching instruction for intermediate and advanced pitchers, as well as conditioning and strength training designed specifically for softball athletes.

Kenya brings an incredible softball background to our coaching staff, including a Hall of Fame collegiate career at Florida A&M University, four MEAC Championship titles, and years of experience both on the field and working with athletes. As a former standout pitcher and versatile player, she is passionate about helping athletes of all skill levels build confidence, develop their skills, and reach their goals.
Coach Kenya will be offering pitching, hitting, and fielding lessons, and we are excited for our athletes to learn from her experience and love for the game.

🥎 Camp Day 3 is a wrap! ☀️

Today we continued working on our outfield fundamentals, focusing on the drop step and adding a throw into the drill.

We also spent time at several hitting stations designed to improve hand-eye coordination and help athletes find the ball for solid contact. One of the stations (pictured) had players hitting a bouncing tennis ball—a fun challenge that helps develop focus, timing, and bat control!

These girls are working hard and getting better every day. 💪🐾
