Thank you for your years of dedication, guidance, and unwavering support. You inspired us to grow not only as engineers, but as leaders and teammates. We love the jokes and good vibes you bring during those stressful times. While you’re stepping away from the team, your legacy will always be a part of Bearbotics.

Last update before R2OC! 🤖

Our team has been working hard to get the robot competition-ready. Mechanically, we’ve rebuilt the hopper, and on the software side, we’ve refined our shooting.

We’re excited to see how our robot performs at this competition! We’re also using a flexible drive team, giving multiple team members the opportunity to step behind the controls and shine.

We can’t wait to see what this weekend has in store. See you at R2OC!

Recap of the Illinois State Championship!

This was the first offseason event Team 2358 attended with our newly rebuilt robot, DRUMROLL. As a team, we decided to completely REBUILD our robot in just 6 weeks, finishing it right in time for the competition. It was truly incredible what we were able to accomplish with a limited number of members and a short timeline.

Now for the State recap! Only 9 of our members were able to attend, but despite our small team, we were still able to become ALLIANCE 5 CAPTAINS, partnering with 2290 FLYT and 5934 Crowbotics. Although we were eliminated in the third round, we are incredibly proud of how DRUMROLL performed in its first appearance, especially with it finishing 9th overall.
