Swipe through and you’ll notice a pattern. Every limit that shows up training alone disappears the second you’re surrounded by people who won’t let you coast.

No one to push your pace. No one to call out the half-rep. No one waiting on you to show up.

That’s the gap group training closes.

Everybody talks about the running. Then they hit the sled pull at station 3 and realize HYROX is a whole different animal.

Nothing is hard on its own. It’s doing all of it back to back, with a 1km run between every station, that breaks people. By wall balls your legs are toast and you’ve still got 100 reps to go.

Soreness is not the goal. Getting better is.

I have been doing this long enough to know that needing to be destroyed after every workout is not a sign of a good session. It is a sign you are measuring the wrong thing.

As you grow in your training, that changes. You stop chasing pain and start chasing progress. Every day, a little better. That is the standard.

Nobody fails wall balls on fresh legs.

They fail them after 8km of running. After the sled, the ski erg, the row, the burpees, the lunges. After 7 stations have already taken everything from them.

That’s when wall balls actually happen. And most people never train for that.
