Justin's Trivia Tuesday❓
Question: In soccer, what body part can't touch the ball?
Answer: Hands (unless you are the goalie of course)
In soccer, field players cannot intentionally touch the ball with their hands or arms (from the shoulder down). Using any part of the arm below the armpit is considered a foul. Goalkeepers are the only players allowed to use their hands, but only within their own penalty area.
GOOD NEWS! Thankfully this rule only applies to field players, not ALL people 🙃 Field players can't use their hands, but coaches, parents and managers...you all can. Whether you are updating availability, posting photos to the feed or checking the status of the game, use of your hands is a must. You all use your hands for the game management side of things so your players don't have to use them on the field...unless your player is a goalie of course in which you use your hands so they CAN use their hands...
