The 2026 season is off to a good start. We’re a couple weeks in now and the kids are having a blast!

Game schedules are almost finalized and will be posted as soon as they are completed.

Here’s a glimpse into what we’ve been up to so far 😊

Woah! What a whirlwind the past week has been!

We have officially closed registration (although we could sneak a couple last minute 3rd/4th graders in 😉🙏)

We are happy to announce that for the first time EVER, Vernonia has 4 YOUTH FOOTBALL TEAMS👏🏼🥳🎉

We were able to field two flag teams. A K/1st grade team and a 1st/2nd grade team.

We also have two tackle teams. A 3rd/4th grade team and a 5th/6th grade team.

All parents should have been contacted with links to the GameChanger app where they can follow their team for scheduling details and team information. All communication will be done through the app so please make sure to follow your team 😊

Looking forward to a good turnout!

Also, we will be doing our 4th annual “Fill the Helmet” fundraiser through the parade. Feel free to throw a dollar or two in the helmet as we walk by 😉 all proceeds go to making sure all kids have the necessary equipment needed to play the sport safely. We appreciate the continued support from our community, we could not do it without you! 💙🏈💛

We had a great turnout for our Boosters Float last year and were gearing up to make it better this year!!

If you have an incoming 1st-8th grader that would like to ride on the float- we have room!

We are also looking for adult volunteers to help with the float or any logger color donations to give it extra spirit!

LAST CALL!!

Today is the last day to get on the roster for the 2026 tackle football season. We are still needing a few more to complete our 3rd/4th grade team.

Tackle practices will be MWF evenings and games on Saturdays. Some home games and some away.

Please, do not hesitate to contact us with any questions, we just want the kids to be able to play.

We have decided to leave registration open for K-2nd flag football for another few days. We are open to older Pre-K kiddos also.

Football is about to flood this town and we are here for it!

We are down to the last 5 DAYS to get you kiddo registered for the 2026 flag and tackle football season!

We are excited to announce that we officially have enough players to field a 5th/6th grade tackle football team for the first time in more than a decade!💙💛🏈 This is huge for us as we continue to bring Vernonia football back to life 💪🏻

At this time we DO NOT have enough for a 3rd and 4th grade team😢 However, we are VERY close! If your child has been wanting to join a team, this is it! There is so much to gain from the hard work and determination and team work that it takes to be apart of a football family… please reach out with any and all questions you may have. Whatever the obstacle, I’m sure we can find a solution. Let’s get these kids out on the field!🏈

We are also short on flag players. It is such a fun way to introduce the littles to the sport, while also teaching structure, teamwork and fundamentals that will follow them from this sport, to any other one. We are open to older Pre K kiddos also! Flag football is essential to the growth of this program and is seriously so much fun to watch!

Where are all our flag football kids at? Open to boys and girls Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Open to 4 year olds also.

Flag football is seriously so much fun! It’s not super competitive, lets the kids run around and burn off steam. It’s a great way for the kids to learn what it means to be apart of a team, how to work hard and gain the confidence they need in this life.

Practices are usually an hour long two evenings a week. Games are on Saturday mornings with one of those Saturdays an evening game under the lights like the big kids❤️
