Dodgie weather but it turned out perfect for the third round of the GSC series at Conyers, although we did get some rain on Friday the wet stuff held off the rest of the weekend and the racers were treated to great course conditions and a bit of an unexpected cool off to boot, as temperatures dropped into the lower seventies for most of the day.

The 7.1 mile course is always a fun and fast jaunt through the woods but it does provide a couple of climbs that will get your attention and this year was no different. Tanner Dorshimer took the overall honors with his win in the men’s cat 1 class and averaged 14.6 mph in the process of racing four laps. Top female on the day was Ryann Slechta on her way to the win in the women’s junior cat 1/2.

Many thanks to all of the sponsors, racers and support folks, round four heads to Chattanooga on 6-14-26!

It was a fast one at Croom this year, much needed rains fell overnight soaking into the sandy patches and making for a perfect surface, plus the Croom Mafia trail crew had done a great job of prepping the course. The course was a 13.9 miles long per loop which meant two laps for the sprint racers and four laps for the marathon distance classes.

Mark Delibertis took the win in the marathon open classes with a solid ride averaging 15.5 mph over the 55+ mile race, Morgan Sparks was the winner in the women’s long distance class. Adrian Karras was the sprint distance overall winner, while Jennifer Milam claimed the women’s sprint win.

Many thanks to all of the sponsors, volunteers from the club and racers for making the event a success, final FLE round is June 7th in Alachua.
