What a weekend for TK2 Baseball at Scrapyard Sports! ⚾️💙🏆
All four of our TK2 teams competed, and three of them earned spots in championship games. What makes us the proudest is the character, resilience, and heart these athletes continue to show every time they step on the field.
Our 9U Thunder had an incredible weekend, finishing as Bracket A Finalists. They came up just one run short in the championship game, but they showed tremendous growth, determination, and grit throughout the tournament. This group continues to make huge strides, and their future is incredibly bright.
The TK2 Panthers may have fallen short of a championship appearance this weekend, but their effort and heart did not go unnoticed. They played one of the most emotional and intense games of the tournament, battling through adversity and keeping their weekend alive with an unforgettable comeback victory. They reminded everyone what it means to fight for each other and never quit.
Our TK2 11U Baseball team worked their way into the B-Bracket Championship Game, finishing as finalists after a hard-fought weekend. Their dedication and work ethic continue to pay off. They’re back in the grove and ready for more baseball. Exciting summer ahead for them.
And our 13U Tigers put together a weekend to remember. They launched 12 home runs, created countless memories, and capped things off by run-ruling their opponent in the championship game. More impressive than the wins, though, is the way they support one another, celebrate each other's successes, and continue growing together as young men. 5-0 was the perfect weekend to have before Omaha.
As an organization, we first want to give all the glory to God. If you were at the ballpark this weekend, you know there were more than a few moments that had everyone holding their breath. Through every high and low, we are grateful for His guidance and blessings.
We also want to thank our coaches. Watching them bounce from field to field, helping one another, offering advice, supporting players from every team, and working together for the good of the organization is something special.
And most importantly, thank you to our families. It was a long weekend filled with early mornings, late afternoons, sunburns, tired legs, hungry kids, and countless hours at the ballpark. Yet everywhere we looked, TK2 families were cheering for one another, walking field to field, and supporting every team as if it were their own.
That's what TK2 is all about.
Yes, we love to compete. Yes, we want to win. But more than anything, we're building a community. We're building a family. We are helping develop young athletes into young men and women of character, resilience, accountability, and heart.
We are so thankful to be part of every moment, every lesson, every celebration, and every challenge. Watching these athletes grow is a privilege, and we truly believe they are becoming a force to be reckoned with.
If you see a member of the TK2 13u or 9u organization this week, please wish them a good-luck as they head to Omaha Nebraska to compete in the Omaha Slumpbuster World Series.
