This weekend hit a little differently for Colten. 💔🏁

Kyle Busch has always been Colten’s favorite driver, so hearing the news of his passing was absolutely devastating for him. In honor of Rowdy, Colten decided to make a special change for Sunday’s race — changing his car number from 55 to 5 as a tribute to the driver he’s always looked up to. He also designed and added a special “Rowdy” sticker to his car to salute Kyle Busch and everything he meant to him.

What made the moment even more special was that another fellow racer, who was also a huge Kyle Busch fan, decided to change his number for the race as well.

Then during Sunday’s heat race, the photographer captured something pretty incredible — the top 3 cars in Colten’s heat were all Kyle Busch numbers. 🧡💙🖤

A moment none of us will forget. Rowdy’s impact on the racing world was huge, and seeing these young racers honor him like this says everything. 🏁❤️

Busy racing weekend for our crew! 🏁

Saturday the kids had their racecars out on display at Indian Trails Campground, and Sunday was all about practice day. They both did an awesome job getting seat time in and getting quicker every single lap. We were feeling ready for Monday night racing!

Lindsey was completely zoned in and ready to go, but unfortunately we ran into some car troubles that kept her from being up front where she deserved to be. Even with a rough day on the track, she never gave up. She worked hard on the car and got it back out there every single chance she could. So proud of her determination and pushing through the tough day. Still not a bad finish considering everything she battled through! Lindsey finished 11th in the future.

And WOW Colten did amazing too! Finished 3rd in his heat race and kept gaining seconds every time he hit the track. He’s getting FAST — watch out! 🔥 Colten finished 14th of the future.

Our next race will be June 7th at Slinger Speedway — come on out and cheer the kids on! We’d love to see everyone there for a fun night of racing! 🏁

Great way to kick off our first race of the season at Grundy County Speedway!

Both Lindsey and Colten did an awesome job getting back out there. We had a few bugs to work out on Lindsey’s car early on, but after a couple practices and some quick work from Mike before the heat races, we were able to get things figured out. Lindsey kept picking up speed every lap and brought home a 10th place finish in the feature.

Colten came out strong and consistent all night—you can really see the improvements from last season. Excited to see what the rest of the year brings for him! Colten finished 12th in the feature.

Last day of World of Wheels Milwaukee come on out and see the kids! We are so proud of them! Lindsey took first place in mini vehicles and Colten took second place!
