💜💛 Can we talk about resilience for a second? 💛💜

Yesterday wasn’t easy, but if there’s one thing these kids showed, it’s heart.

12U, y’all battled through more than just a baseball game. You faced adversity from every direction and never stopped competing. That kind of toughness can’t be measured by a scoreboard, and I’m so proud of each and every one of you.

11U, yesterday is behind you. The best part about baseball is that it gives you another chance. Today is your opportunity to write a different ending. Trust each other, play loose, and go have fun.

At Mid City, we don’t let one day define us. We show up, we keep believing, and we keep moving forward.

😂💜 Y’all… I’M SOOOO EXCITED! 💜😂

Today is going to be a GOOD day for Mid City baseball!

Our 11U All-Stars finally make their debut at 4 PM, and I can’t wait to watch these boys and girl hit the field. If you know this team, you know they play with heart and a whole lot of personality! ⚾💜

Now… Coach Daryll and Coach Trish… 🤣 If you know, YOU KNOW! I’m convinced those two can find two different ways to coach the same play every single time. 😂 They may keep us laughing with their back-and-forth, but one thing is for surethey both love these kids and they both want to win. That’s what makes them so fun to watch.

Then you’ve got Coach Des, who’s guaranteed to have everybody laughing before the game is over. 😂

And don’t forget our 12U All-Stars! 💜 They’re back at 4 PM continuing their journey. They’ve already shown us what they’re made of, and I know they’re ready to put on another show.

💜💛 Let’s take a moment to recognize what coaching is really about. 💛💜

Today I had the opportunity to watch one of our own, Coach Daryll, go above and beyond.

Not only did he step up alongside Coach Kel and Coach Des for our 12U today, but after the games were over, he took the time to speak to both teams. He reminded every player how proud he was of them, encouraged them to keep pushing, prayed with them, and made sure each one knew they were seen, valued, and capable of great things.

Those moments don’t show up on the scoreboard, but they’ll stay with those kids for a lifetime.

Thank you, Coach Daryll, for leading with faith, heart, and purpose. Mid City is blessed to have coaches like you who understand that building character is just as important as winning games.

And tomorrow, it’s his 11U team’s turn. After seeing the way he pours into these kids, I can only imagine what tomorrow will look like. It should be something special to watch.

What a joy it was to watch this team today!

They worked together, prayed together, and played together. Seeing the smiles on their faces, the way they encouraged one another, and how much fun they had was absolutely priceless.

Congratulations on an incredible 14-3 win! Y’all showed up, trusted each other, and took care of business. Now it’s time to rest up because the job isn’t finished yet.

We’re so proud of every player, every coach, and every parent who’s been part of this journey.

And before we call it a night… 😂💜 let me drop a few of my favorite moments from today because these smiles deserve to be remembered. Sometimes it’s not just about the win it’s about the memories made along the way.
