Day 15: This wind kept me off the water today but it got me thinking about a trip last spring with my dad where we slayed the white bass on one of my shad patterns. White bass was not the original plan but it became the plan pretty quick we caught so many fish in such a short time. Such fun!

Day 14: Last October I got to fish Table rock lake in southern Missouri for an entire week. Super fun trip. On that trip I spotted a 8xd on the bank. I grabbed it and tossed in the cup holder. It was in good shape just needed some new hooks and a paint job. Tried to recreate the same pattern. Then decided to give one of my new Barlows blanks the same treatment.

Day 12: I thought that in the month of April I would get to post more what I fished with today posts but with bad weather and work travel today is the first one. I managed to get out today for a bit and got to fish this green goblin. It’s a green color shift with some red hues. It is fair to say I am addicted to these eyes. I want to put them on everything.

Day 11: Today is kind of a twofer. One of my favorite ways to fish over the last 5-6 years is with a 7”trick worm on a 1/4oz or less shakey head setup. So I got the do-it molds shakey head setup and made my own. The trick worm is the angling ai trick work in a dark green pumpkin and blood red laminate.

Day 10: Sunday is a departure from the norm, this is my first attempt at a spinner bait from scratch. Of course is it white because I protest you don’t need another color. The skirt is black and white living rubber and a copper tie, with big-ole blades. Truth be told, after I made a few of these I decided I don’t like the mold so be on the lookout for a different one.

Day 8 & 9: Was stuck on a plane all of day 8 and forgot to schedule something so today is a twofer. Day 8 is a DT10 blank painted in a life like bass pattern and Day 9 is inspired by the giant goldfish that used to cruise my favorite city pond that is now filled in and not fishable. RIP Morgan st.

Day 7: Back to the "Gold is good", This is again at the request of . A nice Gold, Red and black Lipless crankbait. I have never had much luck with a lipless until this spring. On the same day in mid-March, I was able to haul in a few early spring pre spawners. I lost it shortly after, but the best part of making your own baits is I can make more.
