🚨 UPDATED - STOLEN TRACTOR — RECOVERED!! 🚨🙌🙌
A huge thank you to everyone in the community that helped us look and to the sheriff's office for tracking it down! We couldn't be more grateful for all of the support we received!!
Wea Summer Rec Tractor Stolen
We are disappointed to share that the Wea Summer Rec tractor was stolen from our ballfield complex. The tractor was a Kubota BX25D that was stored in the north garage.
Based on what we know so far, the individuals responsible broke into the north garage and drove the tractor out behind Field A toward the tree line. They then traveled into the wooded area and small meadow below the hill between Wea Middle School and the ballfields. From there, it appears the tractor was loaded onto a trailer and taken out to County Road 150 South. They traveled north on 150 South, but where they went after that remains a mystery. This tractor was an important piece of equipment used to maintain our fields for the kids and families who participate in Wea Summer Rec. We are asking anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area or who has security camera footage from the surrounding roads to please contact local law enforcement.
We appreciate the community's support as we work through this situation. Please share this post to help spread the word and increase the chances of recovering the tractor.

Stolen: Kubota BX25D Tractor
Location Taken From: Wea Summer Rec North Garage
Last Known Route: Behind Field A, through the tree line and meadow between Wea Middle School and the ballfields, then northbound on County Road 150 South.

Our Kubota BX25D tractor was stolen from Wea Summer Rec’s property sometime between 5:00 PM Saturday and 11:30 AM Sunday.
It is a Kubota BX25D with a front-end bucket/loader and a green 4-point hitch on the back.
It takes a special kind of person to steal from a summer rec program. This isn’t just a tractor, you just stole from the kids who benefit from our organization and the community we work so hard to serve.
This has created countless hours of additional work, along with the cost and hassle of repairing the damage and trying to replace the tractor at the worst possible time, as we’re working to get the fields ready for the kids to start this fall season of ball this week.
We really need our community to do what it does best and come together to back us up. Please spread the word and keep your eyes open and help us get the word out.
If you see a tractor matching this description being transported, parked somewhere unusual, or listed for sale, please take a picture and contact the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office at 765-807-1200. Do not approach anyone yourself.
