💔 Southside Park Update

Due to recent theft and vandalism, we are temporarily pausing self-service kayak rentals at Southside Park.

Our locks were cut, signage was spray painted, and equipment was damaged. It’s incredibly disappointing, especially because our goal has always been to make Louisiana’s waterways more accessible for everyone.

We also want to apologize to everyone who has rented from Southside Park. We know it’s one of our most popular locations, and we’re just as disappointed as you are. Your support means everything to our small business.

We’re evaluating our options and hope to bring this location back as soon as we can.

Mark your calendars for September 18, 2026, and join us for an afternoon of education, networking, and community as we celebrate the people, organizations, and partnerships working to protect and improve our watershed.

This year’s theme, “Connected by Water: Reimagining Our Watersheds,” will feature presentations, a panel discussion, exhibits from local environmental and community organizations, and opportunities to connect with others who share a passion for our waterways.

Whether you’re a community member, environmental professional, student, or simply someone who enjoys the Bayou Vermilion and surrounding watershed, this event offers a chance to learn, engage, and celebrate the work being done across our region.
