This summer, come train with Charger Volleyball at our 2026 Skills Camp — designed to help athletes build confidence, improve technique, and have FUN while competing and learning alongside teammates!

🌺 Incoming 4th–8th Grade
📍 $60 per session - Located at Charger Gym
🕦 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM

🌴 Session 1: June 22–23 — Tropical Takeover
Focus: Passing, Setting + Hitting
Players will develop the three major volleyball skills through drills, game play, and competitive training designed to elevate all-around performance. Dress like you’re on a tropical island! We want to see your brightest outfit on the court!

✈️ Session 2: July 23–24 — Tourist on the Island
Focus: Serving + Serve Receive
Athletes will work on consistency, power, ball control, communication, and confidence from the service line and in serve receive. Dress as a tourist for camp! What adventure are you taking?

Westminster Christian Academy-Lafayette is excited to announce the hiring of Ahmad Onezime as the new head coach of the Chargers basketball program.

Coach Onezime is a Lafayette native and graduate of Lafayette High School. He continued his basketball career collegiately at Ottawa University Arizona and Elizabeth City State University, where he played both point guard and shooting guard.

Coach Onezime brings four years of high school coaching experience to Westminster Christian-Lafayette, serving two years as an assistant coach at Southside High School before spending the past two seasons as head coach at Acadiana High School. During his coaching career, he has been part of a district championship team and a quarterfinal playoff run.

Coach Onezime attends the Lafayette campus of Our Savior’s Church.

His coaching philosophy emphasizes disciplined basketball, creating mismatches, and maximizing opportunities on both ends of the court. He wants to build a program centered around discipline, accountability, faith, and character development while helping student-athletes grow both on and off the court.

“My faith guides me to lead with integrity, discipline, and compassion while teaching young men to be accountable on and off the court,” said Coach Onezime. “I strive to create an environment where faith, character, hard work, and believing in something greater than yourself are part of everyday growth.”

Coach Onezime says he is excited to build relationships and continue growing the basketball program at Westminster Christian-Lafayette.

“I am excited for the opportunity to be a part of the staff, build meaningful relationships with the kids, and help take this program to new heights both on and off the court,” he said. “I believe a strong foundation begins with faith, and I want our student-athletes to understand that God should always be the first priority in their lives through every season and circumstance.”

Coach Onezime will also serve Westminster Christian Academy-Lafayette as a Health and Physical Education teacher.
