La Vernia Makos Baseball The La Vernia Makos are a Pony League Select baseball team with the goal of preparing 12,13 and 14 year olds for Freshman and High School baseball.

Practices are positive, fun, informative and fast moving. nLed by a former high school coach.

Open practices will begin mid-January. We will practice at the La Vernia Lions club park until the time change where we will move to another field. Early practices will work on getting back into the motions and good habits.

The goal of this team is to prepare for Freshman and High School baseball. Players will work on footwork, batting, pitching and knowledge of the game for the next level.

The team will be coached by Donnie Jurek, former high school coach as well as parents who will help run rotation stations.

The team will play league and tournament play with the goal of one tournament per month as well as four to five weeknight games against other Pony teams.
