This past Sunday, we had a few volunteers demonstrate kyudo at the , and also had members of the public try using a gomuyumi (practice bow). They all had an amazing time and thank the hosts for having the opportunity to spread the way of archery into out community! #弓道 #ツルネ

We had a wonderful time at the beautiful Redwood Kyudojo, who was the host for this year’s NCKF Shinnenshakai. Congratulations to Jon-sensei, who had an early birthday present of kaichū and 3rd place senior division! We all had some cake made by Dolphin as well. #弓道 #ツルネ

First target papering of 2026!

Starting off the new year by preparing fresh targets for the Shinnenshakai.

Had a fun time with pizza, snacks, and even some tabletop games.

Noushakai 2025

We held our final event of the year and shot our closing arrows together.

This year was marked by rejuvenation, growth, and momentum. We welcomed several new members who are just beginning their kyudo journey, celebrated rank advancements for members who have been working toward them for a long time, and marked meaningful personal milestones along the way, including Steven hitting the special target for the first time, a great way to close out the year.

It’s thanks to everyone’s contributions and continued support, whether you’re training with us in person or supporting us from afar, that we’ve come this far and continue to move forward strong.

Thank you all, and we wish everyone a happy season and a wonderful end to the year.

We’ll be resuming regular practice at Aikido West on January 11, 2026.

Bounenkai 2025 🎉

We had an amazing time celebrating together! So much delicious food (thank you to everyone who brought and shared!), and lots of great memories from past events.

We also watched videos from the recent IKYF shinsa for the Shiseikan members who tested, and we were thrilled with how everyone performed. Great work to all!
