⚡ Mindset Monday — Attack the Opportunity
It doesn’t always announce itself.
Sometimes it shows up as a free ball drifting over the net.
Sometimes it’s a perfect pass that gives your setter every option.
Sometimes it’s a transition swing where the defense isn’t set yet.
And sometimes… it’s just a moment. A feeling. A split second where the play is yours—if you choose it.
Opportunities in volleyball don’t wait.
They don’t slow down.
They don’t give you extra time to think.
They appear—and they’re gone.
The difference between good athletes and great ones often comes down to what they do in that moment.
Some hesitate.
They second guess.
They wonder if they should tip instead of swing, or pass instead of call it, or play it safe instead of playing to win.
And in that hesitation, the opportunity disappears.
But confident athletes?
They recognize the moment—and they go.
They step forward.
They call the ball with conviction.
They take the swing.
They trust the work they’ve put in long before that moment ever arrived.
Because here’s the truth—confidence isn’t built in the opportunity.
It’s revealed in it.
All the reps.
All the practices.
All the times you pushed yourself when it was uncomfortable—that’s what shows up when the ball is in the air and the moment is yours.
So when your chance comes… don’t wait.
Don’t hold back.
Don’t play small.
Don’t let doubt talk you out of the moment you’ve been preparing for.
Step into it.
Trust yourself.
Attack with purpose.
Because opportunities don’t define great players—
the way you respond to them does.
⚡ Attack the opportunity.
