There’s a good chance you won’t feel ready… You might feel uncomfortable… Do it anyway!
I’ve been a little quiet on social media lately because we’ve been busy knocking out the first 4 weeks of the “Building Your Dream Machine” experience, where we do a live guided exploration and unpacking of how we pursue our own dreams, the ways that we set ambition, and the things that get in our way.
This photo is a reminder that five years ago, I sent my oldest son to his first day of high school while living in a tent… Granted it was a nice tent, but a tent nonetheless. Lately we’ve been talking a lot about waiting for it to feel like the right time… And how that might just never come around so we might need to move forward anyway.
I have to say, the four months we spent in that tent were pretty fantastic… Everyone went to bed at the same time, calling out “night boys “ from under our blankets. We heard the owls in the evening, and the Cardinals in the morning. We did splurge for a hotel every now and then, when we had to crack ice off the wash basin to clean up in the morning…
Don’t worry about doing hard things, do awesome things, and there’s a good chance they’re gonna be hard!
