🎣 THE COUNTDOWN IS ON! 🎣

2026-2027 THSBA Membership Registration OPENS August 1, 2026!

It's almost time to get ready for another incredible season of Texas High School Bass Association competition!

Before you register, please review these important reminders:

✅ Returning Members
All existing THSBA profiles (Anglers, Captains, Admins, and Observers) have been reset for the new season. When you sign in, you will need to:
• Complete the new Release of Liability
• Review and accept the 2026-2027 THSBA Rules
• Update your profile information as needed.

✅ New Members
If you're joining THSBA for the first time, simply create your profile and complete the required registration steps.

Choose the Correct Profile

🎣 Angler Profile – Competing student anglers only.

🚤 Captain Profile – Boat captains only.

🏫 Admin Profile – Required for all school and club leaders.

👀 Observer Profile – Required for all tournament observers.

⚠️ Important: Please create only ONE profile. Do not register multiple profiles of the same type.

📢 2026–2027 THSBA RULES ARE NOW AVAILABLE

The official 2026–2027 THSBA Rules have been posted on the THSBA website!

Very few changes were made from last season, but it is important that all anglers and boat captains read and understand the rules before the season begins.

When setting up your season profile and signing the Release of Liability, each angler and boat captain agrees that they have read, understand, and will follow the THSBA Rules.

🟨 WHAT CHANGED?
Anything highlighted in the Rules PDF identifies a change or update from last season that you should review.

🎣 KEY UPDATES FOR 2026–2027

1️⃣ Tournament Entry Fee: $85
Tournament entry fees are now $85, a $10 increase per angler. Anglers will see that additional funding returned through increased scholarships offered at our Championship events.

2️⃣ Regional Championship Qualification: Top 45%
The top 45% of AOY teams in each division will now advance to their Regional Championship. This is a 5% increase from last season.

There is no change to the percentage advancing from Regionals to the State Championship.

3️⃣ All 5 Regular Season Events Count Toward AOY
The previous “drop your lowest tournament” format has been removed.

For 2026–2027, Angler of the Year standings will be calculated using all 5 regular season events.

I couldn't be more proud of these young men! While the final official rankings are still trickling in, we have some fantastic highlights to share from the water today:
• Blace & Gavin: Brought in 2 fish weighing 6.80 lbs, finishing in 69th place. They were a mere two spots away from qualifying for State—a heartbreaker, but an incredible showing!
• Will & Clayton: Weighed in 3 fish at 6.48 lbs.
• Aiden: Landed a solid single at 2.15 lbs.
• Jason & Caden: Brought in 1 fish at 2.11 lbs.

A special congratulations to Will and Clayton, who were awarded their Top 10 Angler plaques today! We look forward to cheering them on as they hit the water again this June for the Angler of the Year tournament.

Reflecting on the season, I can honestly say the Krum Fishing Team’s first year has been nothing short of amazing. We may have spent as much time untangling lines as we did catching fish, but the growth and sportsmanship we’ve seen have been the real "keepers."

To every parent, sponsor, and supporter: Thank you. This inaugural season wouldn't have stayed afloat without your help and dedication. We are so grateful for this community!
