Race report for round #3 of the World Championship ICE Racing Series . The night started off good. I was trying a new set of rear tires. I went with Hoosiers. Spent a cpl days studding them up. My first heat went ok could of been better but still making adjustments in the right direction. This is the second race using my Idol Speed holeshot device and let me tell you its a huge improvement for me launching the quad. To answer any questions yes it works and it releases perfectly. So the 2nd heat come out and do ok but notice my right rear is extremely low. Get back put air in the tire and start inspecting it for missing studs or loose studs. Found one with a minor leak tights that down to where it stopped leaking air, but I was still loosing air rapidly. Come to find out it was my beadlock leaking air so I tighten that down more and put air In the tire and sent it in the LCQ. Moving onto the main we line up get ready to go and I launch and everyone is pulling away, I instantly thought I broke. Nope just massive wheel spin . Ended up finishing 7th. Im happy to finish the race but I still have alot of work to do and adjustments to make if I am ever going to win or podium. Race report for January 31st

Location: Moline Illinois

Event: World Championship ICE Racing Series round #2

Racer: Joe Stahl #014

Hello guys, wanted to send my race report in from Saturday January 31st at the world championship ice racing series.

First i would like to say thank you to all my sponsors who have stuck with me over the years.

Onto the report. I worked with my friend Derek over at Idolspeed about getting a atv holeshot device. He was hesitant because its mainly used for mx and xc and he wasn't sure if it would unhook after the start. Well let me tell you that was the hardest I was able to launch my quad in years and the front end carried maybe 2 inches of the ice. I could get through the first two corners and setting it into turn 3 it would unhook. It kept me In the race the whole time. I finished 2nd the first heat and 3rd the 2nd heat. That landed me in p3 for the lcq. Had a decent start but I got pinched off in the corner and fell to 3rd. Then I made a bone head move and hugged the corner a little to tight and caught the turn marker and lost another position. I crossed the finish line in 5th. I ended up finishing 9th , not where I wanted to be but is a improvement.

My next race is March 14 in Decatur Illinois. But in-between now and then im going to hit some outdoor stuff and get some practice on the ice.

We are out here in Anaheim California for round 1 of supercross . This has been on my bucket list of things to do. My best friend made the trip with me its been a heck of a weekend.
