My 4 year old told me the other day she wants to start practicing so she can do 5Ks with me someday. 🥹🏃‍♀️

Of course that distance is still a little much for her right now, but her little 1/4–1/2 mile walk/jogs are genuinely challenging her… and she’s choosing to do them all on her own.

She sees mama training. She sees mama doing hard things. And now she wants to do hard things too.

Most kids see a challenge and immediately turn away from it. As parents, we have such a huge opportunity to teach our children that challenges are not something to fear — they’re opportunities to grow, learn, improve, and build confidence.

Raise kids who are willing to try. Raise kids who embrace hard things. 💛

Kids become what they grow up seeing.

Too many children hear: “I’m too tired.” “Maybe later.” “Not today.”

And too many grow up watching dad sit on the couch with chips and a beer instead of taking care of the body God gave him.

Let’s make a new normal.
Let them see dads who move their bodies, go for walks, lift weights, play outside, fuel themselves well, and choose discipline even when they’re tired.

Mirabelle joined one of my amazing clients for a little run the other week, and it was such a sweet reminder that healthy habits start with example. Movement becomes normal when our children grow up seeing it lived out daily.

Motivation is great... until it disappears.

The truth is, motivation comes and goes. Some days you'll feel excited to work out, meal prep, and take care of yourself. Other days, you won't.
The people who see lasting results aren't the most motivated—they're the most consistent.

Show up anyway. Take the walk anyway. Drink the water anyway. Make the healthier choice anyway.

Small actions repeated over time create a lifestyle, not a temporary transformation.
