David Rickels graduate Seymour High School in 2001 and was a member of our wrestling program for 4 years During his Junior and Senior seasons, David was a starter for the Eagles

During his Senior year, David made it to the TSSAA State Tournament by finishing 2nd in the Region at 171 pounds David battled his way to the State Semifinals where he suffered a tough loss but he would come back and place 5th.

Today, David holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from East Tennessee State University and an MBA from the University of Tennessee. David works as a Lead Software Engineer.

David is married to Anna Xiques Rickels, and together they have a daughter, Alice Rose Rickels.

Krisha Bohanon Green

Krisha Bohanon Phillips, was a pioneer for girls wrestling at Seymour High School!

When Krisha wrestled for the Eagles there was no girls division offered by the TSSAA She was Seymour’s first female wrestler and was the only girl wrestler on the team during the 1994–95 school year.

Athletic and intelligent, Krisha battled in all her matches In fact, Krisha defeated several boys during her wrestling career at Seymour HS

Krisha has stated that her experience as a member of the wrestling team at Seymour taught her "a ton about courage and perseverance."

Following graduation, Krisha took her love for performing to Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Later she was involved in local Knoxville theatre where she was a very successful actor and director.

Krisha was also had long run as a very popular DJ in the Knoxville area

Today, she is a mother of four and is still very active in hitting the weights and working out.

Krisha has always been a dreamer and she continues chasing the "things that light her up!"
