Yesterday we were back on the field for another Saturday of softball. We went 1-1 in pool play again earning the 2 seat. In the first game of pool play the girls came out a-little slow. This was to be expected since the weather caused us to miss practices this week. But they ended up fighting back and beating the Lady Eagles 10-7 behind a big day at the plate from Brylee #2 and defensively holding us in the game with great plays was Abella #3 and Brighton #20.
Our girls played hard and fought hard the whole game. A few bad plays and mistakes end up leading to our lose 6-9. Offensive was lead by Aston #5 and Abella #3 with 3 hits each in the game. Brylee #2 added 2 RBIs on two hits. As a team we out hit them 18-15.

Then it was on to bracket play the girls came out ready to play. Having to play back to back games they were a-little drained but picked the energy back up early. The offense was lead by the heart of our line up. The top of the line up got on and our 3 (Brighton), 4 (Sabrina) and 5 (Brylee) hitters cleared the bases. Sabrina led the offense with 3 hits and 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Brighton added 3 runs scored on 3 hits with 1 RBI, and Brylee added 3 hits and 3 RBIs. Defensive was lead by great plays by the middle infield Mealana #19 and Blakeley #1. We got the win and on to the championship game we went for the second weekend.

The girls struggled in the championship game but fought the whole time. There were a few big highlights from the championship game we can build on. There was huge catch in the out field by Zoe #31 and a very close attempt at a double play from our fill in short stop Lindsey #4. We came away as runners up but over all a great day of softball from these girls. They learned a lot about themselves this weekend

After a Rough weekend last weekend, the girls hit the field today ready for Redemption!
Going 1-1 in pool play and earning the 2 seed in the Gold Bracket.
The bats were HOT right from the start with these girls winning the first game 15-0. Brighton #20 holding down 1st base and earning one of the days many MVP’s. Sabrina #66 earning offensive MVP from driving in runs with triples and Mealana #19 earning defensive MVP for locking down defense up the middle at SS.
HUGE shout out to Mabry for picking up and helping with the scoring frenzy in game 1 adding 2 home runs.
Game 2 was a hard fought battle against Elite 865, but we held our own keeping it a tight game. Unfortunately we came up short losing 8-6. Helping to keep us in the game was a great outfield catch on a fly ball by Finley #7.
Bracket play followed, our girls regrouped and came out winning their first bracket game 5-3 with the entire outfield being named defensive MVP for their amazing Teamwork. Matilda contributed key hits and driving in runs earning offensive MVP. Team MVP was our Pitcher Abella having a perfect inning of outs.
That Win moved us into the championship game having to face Elite 865 once again but this time we came out on top 12-7 winning the Gold bracket championship.
These girls fought hard all day maintaining energy and competitive game play.
We as coaches and parents couldn’t be more proud of the progression shown today. Excited for more growth!

We are taking the field tomorrow at 10am at tri state park. We look forwardto a fun day of softball. The girls have worked hard and we will be welcoming back a few girls from injury this weekend. We are excited to see them out there.

Yesterday was a great day for us, 2nd Tournament in the books!
Our girls worked hard in practice all week to get better and yesterday it showed.
We came out first game a secured our seasons first win 15-6. Bats were hot and defense was on point. Fueled by some great defensive plays by one of the teams newest members Mealana Anderson. Abella Waltman held down the pitcher circle and helped get multiple outs as well. Our sister team 8u elite let us borrow one of their girls, Maddie Humphrey, and she injected life into our line up right off the bat with big hits that cleared bases.

Second game was just as electric!
These girls they came out a-little flat on defense giving up 5 runs after scoring 5 them self in the first inning. We made a few adjustments defensively and it woke the girls up.
Sabrina Snyder came out the second inning playing pitcher and caught two fly balls to help us get our first 1-2-3 inning on the year. The offense was sparked by the heart of our line up but the biggest contributor came from later in the line up with Aston Garza going 2 for 2 with 3 RBIs. We won that game 11-6.

Started bracket play as the 2 seed after a very long wait.
We came out a-little flat from the break and long day. But the girls fought back to tie the game powered by Maddie Humphrey’s in the park home run. (Not a single with 3 errors a true bust your butt around the bases slide in under the tag Home run). In the end we just ran out of gas and couldn’t finish the come back and lost 9-4.

I Can’t be more proud of these girls. We have been working hard and it definitely showed yesterday!
We will keep working hard as we will continue to be in the hunt for that first championship.

This Easter weekend come out and enjoy some softball with us. Our girls are getting ready to hit the dirt for there second tournament. We have some new faces and new uniforms. Come out and support us. We want to thank one of our team sponsors Fire pro for helping these girls get on the field this spring and summer. First Tournament of the season in the books✔️
Every time these girls stepped onto the field today their game play improved!
Today’s games were most of these girls first travel softball game, and for some, their first 8u tournament!
I’m so proud of everyone’s attitude, energy, and willingness to learn today.
I can’t wait to see the growth from this season
