Guilt free holiday!

Don’t stress an extra holiday meal or two. Enjoy the time with your family. Enjoy your favorite foods. Have a dessert. The holidays shouldn’t derail your fitness or nutrition plans but your fitness and nutrition plan also shouldn’t derail your holiday.

There are no extra workouts needed. You don’t need to fast or skip meals. In fact, I encourage my clients and patients to go ahead and eat a normal breakfast and lunch before a holiday dinner. Why? It prevents overeating due to fasting all day. It keeps you on a normal schedule.

But what about workouts? If your family enjoys a turkey trot go for it but do not feel obligated to “work off” that holiday food. Just pick up your fitness plan where you left off the next day.
