On day 21 of our coast to coast adventure mischief_onthetrail and I were apparently destined to stop at Burger King.

Another ferry, a train, a little R and R and next thing you know I'm sitting on a beach in California. One of the things I love about bike touring is it's relatively easy and inexpensive to incorporate alternative modes of transportation into your adventure when necessary.

"Sing the river " or as everyone calls it "the Baton Rouge bean ". Whatever you choose to call we finally made it out of New Orleans.

Entering Louisiana we found barricades instead of a welcome sign. Not the warmest of welcomes but another state behind us.

Day 17, mischief_onthetrail tries to say Ponce de Leon and DeFuniak Springs, (unsuccessfully) and we finish section 7 (which for us heading west is actually the first section) of the southern tier bicycle route. It had its moments but overall I'm glad this section is behind us and I'm looking forward to the section ahead.
