⚾ **AYS BASEBALL UPDATE | GAMES POSTPONED** ⚾

Due to field conditions following yesterday’s storms, all AYS baseball games scheduled for today have been postponed (8/18).

Recent construction at the AYS fields has temporarily changed the pathway of water around the facility, resulting in a drainage issue after yesterday’s heavy rain. **The fields will remain unavailable today while we work to clear the drain and address the water flow.

📅 **Today’s games WILL be made up.** We will communicate the rescheduled dates and times once the work is completed and the fields are ready for play.

Due to the continued delay with our jersey order and the weather forecast for tomorrow, all baseball games scheduled for Monday, August 17 have been rescheduled.

We know everyone is ready to get back on the field, and we appreciate your continued patience as we work through circumstances outside of our control.

🏈 FLAG FOOTBALL IS BACK IN ALCOA! 🏈

Registration is NOW OPEN for Alcoa Youth Sports Flag Football, but only for a few more weeks!

Whether your player is brand new to football or ready for another season on the turf, flag football is a great way to get involved, compete, and have some fun this fall.

📍 Alcoa High School Football Turf
🏈 Ages 4–12 (COED) & Middle School (Grades 6th - 8th)
📅 Sunday afternoons
🙌 No weekday practices
👕 Jerseys + flags provided

Teams practice approximately one hour before their Sunday game, making this one of our easiest sports for busy families to work into their schedules.

And just like that, the fall season is underway!

We’re excited to welcome everyone back to the ballpark and kick off another season of youth sports. None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our volunteer coaches, team parents, and families who generously give their time to make this league a success.

Thank you for investing in our kids, our park, and our community. We can’t wait to watch our athletes learn, grow, compete, and make memories all season long.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work preparing for another great season at Alcoa Youth Sports.

Unfortunately, recent rain has delayed some of our roof replacement projects and field improvements, but progress is continuing every day. We’re excited to welcome everyone back as practices begin and can’t wait to see our park full of families again.

As we continue investing in our facilities, we’re committed to creating an even better experience for every player, parent, and fan. These improvements are about more than maintenance. They’re about building a park our community can be proud of for years to come.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and your belief in our program. Pardon our mess while we continue investing in the future of Alcoa Youth Sports. The best is still ahead.

Alcoa Youth Sports is proud to announce the addition of Middle School Club Tennis to our growing lineup of programs!

We love serving our community and creating new opportunities for young athletes to learn, compete, and connect. We are excited to continue expanding our programming for Alcoa families.

Alcoa Youth Sports Fall Season Update

Team placements are currently being finalized. With more than 250 players, we are working carefully to balance teams, secure coaches, and prepare for a successful fall season.

We appreciate your patience and will contact families with team and coach information no later than Monday, July 27.

Important Season Information

• Practices begin the week of July 27
• Regular-season games begin August 10
• The season will end by the end of September
• There will be no end-of-season tournament

Anticipated Game Days

• 12U: Mondays and Thursdays
• 9U: Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday evenings, with no Saturday commitments
• 6U: Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. or Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. or 12:15 p.m.

Fall teams will be identified by colors rather than MLB team names. The league will provide jerseys only. Coaches will communicate any additional uniform or equipment needs, including pants, belts, socks, or other gear.

We are grateful for our coaches, volunteers, families, and the facilities that allow us to serve such a large number of young athletes.

Alcoa Youth Sports Fall Baseball registration is already filling quickly, and once divisions reach capacity, registration will close.

If you’ve been planning to sign up, now is the time. Don’t wait until the last minute and risk missing the season!

✅ Tee Ball (Ages 3–6)
✅ Baseball (Ages 7–12)
✅ Softball (Ages 4–6)

📅 Registration closes July 19 or when divisions are full—whichever comes first.
