Great Southern Gun and Knife Show Announces Temporary Venue Change for 2026
For the past 35 years, the Great Southern Gun and Knife Show has proudly hosted its events at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner, Louisiana, providing a familiar home for exhibitors and attendees from across the region and beyond. Unfortunately, we were recently informed that, for the remainder of 2026, we will be required to relocate our events to a new venue.
In March, we received official notice that the New Orleans Pelicans’ NBA G-League affiliate, the Laketown Squadron, will begin play at the Pontchartrain Center during the 2026–27 season. As part of this transition, our long-standing event will be displaced for the coming year. While we are disappointed not to have had a voice in this change, we understand the circumstances and appreciate the years of support and partnership we have enjoyed in Kenner.
Our upcoming shows will now take place at the Alario Center in Westwego, Louisiana, where the staff has graciously welcomed us and ensured a smooth transition. We are pleased to confirm that all 2026 show dates remain the same, exactly as originally scheduled in Kenner.
For those exhibitors who have already submitted table payments for Kenner, you have two options:
1. Apply your payment to the corresponding event at the Alario Center.
2. Request a full refund.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported the show over the decades, from loyal exhibitors to our dedicated attendees. We are deeply grateful for your understanding during this unexpected transition, and we look forward to seeing you in Westwego throughout 2026 as we continue the proud tradition of the Great Southern Gun and Knife Show.
