Your kid can LOVE martial arts without martial arts being the only thing that makes them valuable.

The athlete is part of who they are.

It isn't ALL of who they are. 💜

And sometimes they need the adults around them to remind them of that.

Looking back, I can see pieces of Auntie long before “Auntie” really existed.

Some disappear.
And some are just there to introduce us to who we're becoming. 💜

Some get handed to us.

“The talented one.” “The difficult one.” “The athlete.” “The shy one.”

Kids hear those things enough and eventually they can start believing that's simply who they are.
