Our #6 shining 🤩
After 2 full weeks of action, one thing is evident: players on all levels are putting up monster stats in the preseason.
Here is the 2nd installment of our Boys Team of the Week for 2026, featuring performers from many of the state’s undefeated teams 💪
Gideon Mast: Sheldon (0-4-1) packed its preseason schedule with formidable opponents and despite the results, has given up only 7 total goals in their 5 matches thanks to Gideon’s stellar play in goal, highlighted by a 14-save performance against Newberg.
Asher Williams: In shutouts of 6A Forest Grove and West Linn, the Wilsonville senior captain’s presence at left back was key. Asher also made a last minute goal-line clearance in a near upset of 6A Westview. He anchors a backline featuring two 1st-year varsity players.
Joseph Rosales Lopez: Senior defender helped contain a potent Sunset offense while assisting on 1 goal and converting a PK in South Salem’s 3-2 W, handing the Apollos their only loss of the season.
Rowan Hampson: Has scored in 4 of undefeated Tualatin’s 5 games, including a brace against Sprague.
Oscar Johnson: No 6A player has scored more goals this season than OJ; posted back-to-back hat tricks against Sherwood and West Linn as Cleveland has out-scored opposition, 20-0, in 4 unbeaten matches.
Braulio Valenzuela Paz: Best player in Southern Oregon has 4 goals, 3 assists this season for 6A South Medford, who won their league-opener, 7-1, against Crater.
Alex Fulgencio: Rated No. 10 overall in our preseason Top-25 Senior Player Rankings, Alex has tallied 3 Goals and 7 assists this season, including 3 goal contributions (G + 2 assists) in 5A Power Centennial’s huge 3-0 W against La Salle.
Colton Froman: His 2 bangers fueled 5A Wilsonville’s road upset of 6A West Linn, a Final Four team in 2025.
Anthony Ramirez Trujillo: Has 4 goal contributions in 3 games for undefeated McKay, including a goal and an assist in 3-1 victory against Crook County.
Abraham Bolaños Domínguez: Ha 4 goals and 2 assists in 3 matches for undefeated Clackamas, including the decisive goal in 1-0 upset of Lake Oswego.
