Sem's girls basketball team will play for the District 2 Class AA title on Friday at 4 p.m. at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

The top-seeded Blue Knights (17-6) will play No. 2 Mountain View (18-6).

Sem's boys and girls basketball teams begin post-season play this week in the District 2 tournament. 🏀⛹️‍♀️⛹️‍♂️

The girls are the top seed in the Class AA tournament and will host Lackawanna Trail tonight at 6 p.m. in the Carpenter Athletic Center. A win tonight will advance the Blue Knights to the semifinals on Friday, Feb. 20 at a site and time to be announced.

Sem's boys will travel to Blue Ridge tomorrow in a Class AA quarterfinal game at 7 p.m. The winner advances to the District 2 semifinals, set for Saturday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. at Old Forge High School.

The girls basketball team is excited to celebrate their lone senior tonight - Maya Gross!
Maya is a team captain and a true leader on the court and in the classroom.
Also a standout runner for the cross country team, Maya shows great dedication to her teammates and is always up for a challenge!

Please join the team in celebrating this fantastic young lady tonight before the varsity game against Wyoming Area. Senior Night festivities will be held at approximately 5:40. Varsity tip-off is at 6 p.m.

This past weekend, we celebrated senior basketball players Aarav Gupta, Joe McCrae, RJ Gernhardt, and John Redington.

It was great honoring these young men and sharing this day with their parents, grandparents, and siblings.

Best of luck to them as they finish out their season and the rest of their time at Sem.

Congratulations to Emmy Swartz '26 and Sophia Medico '26, who recently earned first-team all-state recognition from the Pennsylvania High School Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Just last month, the girls signed National Letters of Intent to attend to play field hockey at the collegiate level.

Emmy will attend Ohio State University, and Sophia will attend Tufts University.

This is a fantastic achievement for these wonderful young ladies!
