Call for 9U Participants in RAMblers Baseball
We are calling all interested 8- and 9-year-olds to participate in the Roberson RAMblers program through South Buncombe Youth Sports (to be eligible players must be younger than 10 as of 4/30/2020). The RAMbler program is a competitive program focused on developing proper baseball fundamentals and building young men of character.
Through this program, your son will learn to play baseball the Roberson way, will have opportunities to play in high level tournaments, and will be challenged with situations to build their character beyond just the game of baseball. Many of the skills and routines provided are the same ones being used by the 4-time State Champion Roberson Baseball program, and the current Roberson Baseball head coach, Eric Filipek, is a leader and one of the founders of the program.
Please note that this program is in addition to the recreation league through South Buncombe Youth Sports, and all participating players should be enrolled to play in the South Buncombe Youth Baseball program this Spring. In addition to this league play, RAMbler players will have 1-2 additional practices each week, and they will participate in approximately 4 weekend tournaments this Spring. The total cost for the program will be determined once the tournament schedule is finalized, but it will not exceed $350 for the season.
Tryouts for this program will begin soon, and interested players (and coaches!) are asked to please respond to this opportunity no later than March 4th. If you're interested or have any questions, please respond directly to this email or you can reach out to any of the following contacts:
