Due to severe thunderstorms, tornado watches, and dangerous weather expected during class hours this evening, Ignite Dance Academy King City classes will be canceled tonight.

The safety of our dancers, families, and staff always comes first. Storms are forecasted to begin around class start time and continue throughout the evening, so we feel staying home is the best decision for everyone.

We also want our dancers to have the best possible class experience, and weather concerns can make it difficult for everyone to fully relax and enjoy their time at the studio.

Thank you for understanding, and please stay safe tonight. We will see everyone soon!

We are so excited to continue growing in King City 🧡🔥

After such a great response, we’ve opened up a full Wednesday evening of classes starting in May to better serve our dancers and families!

From tiny dancers to adults, these classes are designed to build confidence, technique, and a love for dance in a supportive environment!

Spots are limited, and classes will only run with at least 4 dancers enrolled — we’d love to see these fill!

We want to take a moment to acknowledge the heartbreaking loss our community is experiencing with the passing of Harper.

Our hearts are with her family, friends, and everyone affected during this incredibly difficult time. While we did not know Harper personally, the weight of this loss is deeply felt throughout the King City community.

With visitation taking place tomorrow evening, we want to let our dance families know that classes will still be held as scheduled. However, please do not feel any obligation to attend.

If your family chooses to attend the visitation, spend time together, or simply take space to process and grieve, we fully support that. There is no need to notify us of absences—we completely understand.

We did consider canceling classes, but also recognize that not all of our dancers were connected to Harper, and some families may prefer to keep their routines.

Please do whatever feels right for your family. Dance will be here next week.

We are holding this family and the King City community in our thoughts during such a tragic and unimaginable loss.

While we may be new to the area, it has already shown itself to be a place full of love, connection, and support — and we know a loss like this is deeply felt by so many.

He is risen 🤍

Easter is a reminder of joy, renewal, and the beauty of new beginnings… and I can’t help but see that reflected in what we do every day.

“You have turned my mourning into dancing…” — Psalm 30:11

There’s something so powerful about that. Dancing isn’t just movement — it’s expression, healing, celebration, and joy. And getting to watch these dancers grow in confidence, passion, and purpose is something I never take for granted.

Whether you’re on a stage, in a studio, or just finding your way — there is always a reason to keep moving, keep believing, and keep showing up.

Wow… what an amazing, fun, and FULL first night of dance in King City! 🔥🧡

We had two Tiny Tot Acro classes, a Sassy Jazz class, a VERY full Cheer & Acro class (pictured), and ended the night with a strong Jazz & Lyrical Combo class!

Every class had a different vibe.
A different purpose.
Different dancers.
But all were SO fun, full of energy, and left a lasting impression.

Thank you to everyone who came out tonight — we missed a few due to sickness, travel, and other obligations, but we can’t wait to see you next week!

A huge thank you to King City Main Street for the beautiful flowers — such a thoughtful and kind gesture. They are absolutely gorgeous!

The studio was full of dancers all night… and after everyone left, I took a moment to just stand there and take it all in.

This space, this energy, these kids — it all happened so fast, and it’s something really special.

I’m the lucky one. I truly am. 🧡
