You saw the before and after photos of the regulator from cleaning. Well here is what the water looks like after cleaning the 1st stg in the ultrasonic machine. As you can see, lots of sand, and other bits. Even though your regulator is mostly sealed, and you keep things rinsed well after diving, it still gets pretty funky! One of the reasons to have your regulator serviced regularly! Happy Diving!

Have you ever seen your regulator from the inside? Once through the sonic boom machine and they sparkle! Consequently, your reg will work a lot smoother and you will extend the life. Most manufacturers recommend this been done every 2 years or 200 dives.

Aloha Mantas!
Many divers don't ever see what is inside of their regulators. This is a picture of a high pressure seat that has failed. Even if the regulator is just sitting for a couple of years, parts can break down and create problems.
Having your regulator overhauled every other year will assure that they are safe and working properly!
Also a note to those of you that own brands other than the Aqualung, Apeks, and Atomic; I am only able to rebuild these regs. I am able to inspect and make adjustments to other brands, but can't rebuild or do any warranty work on them.

Aloha Mantas! Spring has sprung, and summer is quickly approaching. Most manufacturers recommend an annual inspection and an overhaul every other year for your gear. If you haven't done it in "awhile" maybe it's time before things get too busy with the rush! I am able to rebuild your regulator and get it back the next day in most cases.
I have arranged with Erik at Extended Horizons for you West Side divers, to have a place you could drop off, or I can meet you at your convenience. Let's make sure your gear is safe so you can get out to find little gems like this cute baby frog fish!
