Keokuk Kids Wrestling Club We hope to give all athletes a solid foundation in the basics of wrestling and instill a love of the sport.

GOAL: We hope to give all athletes a solid foundation in the basics of wrestling, so as to prepare them for competition with similar clubs throughout the state. We hope to instill in all athletes a love of the sport and an appreciation of the skills, time, and effort that is required to succeed in any life accomplishment. Lastly, we hope to prepare these young athletes so they will be able to move upward into the KHS Wrestling Program.

General information

Please do not contact the schools for information regarding Keokuk Kids Wrestling Club practices or tournaments. If you have questions regarding Keokuk Kids Wrestling Club, please contact: Paul Johnson at (319) 795-7696. Requirements: 1. A fee of $25 for the 1st child/ $15 for the 2nd 2. Hair and fingernails are to be kept short and clean. No jewelry is allowed during wrestling. This is for the protection of all wrestlers involved in the sport. 3. Agree to the general rules (provided at registration). If your child has a medical issue that would be a problem with strenuous exercise and physical contact, please let us know ahead of time. Your child's safety is at the top of our list! For the younger kids, the first couple weeks of practice will be teaching them the fundamentals of wrestling. Things will seem very repetitive, but the basics are what they need to know prior to the advanced moves and techniques.
